The discovery of the business world in general, and of SODEPA’s activities in particular, by students in training, has encouraged SODEPA to enter into partnerships with training institutions specialising in areas related to its activities. A memorandum of understanding was signed on 15 July 2021 in this regard with the Faculty of Agronomy and Agricultural Sciences (FASA) of the University of Dschang, in the presence of officials from both parties and the local press.

This collaboration is based on a few factors, which are listed below

  • The reception of FASA students by SODEPA during their training, after selection of profiles, in order to expose them to the business world
  • the organisation of joint training or capacity-building workshops for FASA teaching staff or livestock operators;
  • The provision of work-linked training during well-defined periods in the course of training

The day of the signing was an opportunity to visit the campus. The General Manager, KOULAGNA KOUTOU Denis, took the time to visit the FASA application laboratory and a teaching farm.

A group photograph closed this mission.

SODEPA signs a partnership agreement with EPAB for the development of cattle fattening and the promotion of innovative pastoral techniques.

A partnership framework agreement was signed last June 24 between the Livestock Development Corporation (SODEPA) and the École Pratique d’Agriculture de Binguela (EPAB) by Mr. KOULAGNA KOUTOU Denis, General Manager of SODEPA, and Mr. AMOUGOU ETOGO Roland, Director of EPAB.

This important ceremony took place on EPAB campus, and in the presence of the Divisional Officer of MBANKOMO Sub-Division.  This partnership stems from a shared will of SODEPA and EPAB to  » combine their efforts and resources, in order to optimise their operations and develop joint actions, for the development of cattle fattening and the promotion of innovative livestock farming techniques ».

According to SODEPA, represented by its General Manager and its top management, this agreement is a necessary innovative approach, which will help integrate the current challenges of the animal production and consumption sector, with a view to capitalising on what has been achieved for growth driven by healthy and republican values.

After this signing, there was a group photograph and a guided tour of the EPAB campus.

The two parties parted with a firm promise to share agropastoral know-how and to promote the development of actors in the cattle industry in the areas of competence of each organisation.
