In its ambitious drive to shine and position itself as a national reference, SODEPA is continuing its journey of fruitful alliances.
On 7 June 2022 at 11:00 am, the Amphitheatre 150 of the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Sciences Agro-industrielles of the University of Ngaoundere hosted the signing ceremony for the partnership agreements between the livestock production partner, the University of Ngaoundere and its professional institutions (ENSAI, ESMV, IUT). The focus of this cooperation, which should enable both parties to achieve the objectives of this Framework Agreement, are:
- The development of industrial products and by-products;
- The monitoring of livestock activities;
- The provision of support and supervision facilities to trainees depending on SODEPA’s intake capacity
According to the programme, the first phase of the ceremony was as follows:
A presentation from the host university by Professor ATANGANA MVOGO, followed respectively by those of the School of Veterinary Sciences (ESMV) by Professor MAMOUDOU ABDOULMOUMIMI; of the University Institute of Technology (IUT) by Professor MOHAMMADOU BOUBA ADJI, and that of the National School of Agro-Industrial Sciences by Professor NSO Emmanuel JONG. The Head of the Partnership and Supervision Unit, Dr NGAH OSOE Freddy, brought the curtains down on the presentations with a spotlight on SODEPA
This ceremony which comes after those of the Ecole Pratique d’Agriculture of BINGUELA, the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of DSCHANG (FASA), the Centre National d’Etudes et d’Expérimentation du Machinisme Agricole (CENEEMA), the Institut Supérieur des Sciences Agricoles, Halieutiques et Environnementales d’ESSE (ISSAHE),
“is undoubtedly the expression of our collective will to contribute, in a modest way, to the development of a modern livestock sector that will secure growth, employment and self-sufficiency in animal protein by 2035 “, explained the General Manager of SODEPA, Mr. KOULAGNA KOUTOU Denis in his speech that preceded that of the Rector of the University of Ngaoundere, Prof. Florence UPHIE CHINJE MELO.

The official signing of the various agreements, which was witnessed by the media, senior officials of SODEPA from the Office of the General Manager, Directors of regional Operational Units (Industrial Slaughterhouse of Ngaoundere and the Faro Ranch), was the final act of this phase.
The second phase of this special day was reserved entirely for presentations facilitated by the General Manager and his host. The Director of Production and Marketing of SODEPA, Dr ANDU Walters NDI, and the Director of Strategic Planning and Development, Mr FUH GODWILL NGWA, took turns to talk about the animal production component and the prospects for the SODEPA – PDCVEP Partnership. The day was wrapped up with a cocktail offered by the University.
