It was a day of rejoicing at the head office of one of animal production sector’s major stakeholders at the Nouvelle route Omnisport neighbourhood in Yaounde this Friday, August 12, 2022, when a prize was awarded to SODEPA boss, Mr. KOULAGNA KOUTOU DENIS. The award was issued by the Association of Investigative Journalists of Cameroon.
The award recipient scored more than 17.5 points on average according to the different criteria set by the jury, notably those related to: professional integrity; moral rectitude; family values among others. The General Manager of SODEPA finished at the top of the list against two other personalities. « It should be recalled that there were 13 General Managers at the beginning of the competition, » said the President of the Association, IGNACE YOMBI.
After diplomats, senators and other actors from all sectors of activity, the goal of these committed journalists who have been working since 2012, was to « stretch the scope of recipients to General Managers » with the underlying motivation being that of » sufficiently investigating before publishing reliable information ». It was in the presence of Directors, Sub-Directors and Executive Assistants of SODEPA, that the prize of excellence was handed over to the General Manager by the President of the Association. The honoured General Manager underscored that this award was a tribute to the teamwork of Top Management assembled for the occasion « Please, accept the gratitude of SODEPA », expressed the host and recipient of the occasion.
