The 14 June 2023 will remain engraved in the memory of SODEPA’s Headoffice, which welcomed with effervescence their new partner: MTN Cameroon (BUSINESS UNIT). In the Conference room, SODEPA’s top management, led by Mr KOULAGNA KOUTOU Denis, signed a memorandum of understanding with the representative of MTN Cameroon’s Managing Director, Mr Franck Gérard KOM, sealing a historic collaboration.
A few months ago, SODEPA, through Mr Philippe ASSENG NGUELE, Head of the IT Unit, began discussions with MTN Cameroon on the launch of the process of digitizing and computerizing its activities. The presentations by SODEPA and MTN Cameroon were made by Dr NGAH OSOE, Head of the Partnership and Management Unit at SODEPA, and Mr Bertrand NKOA, respectively.
The areas of collaboration were as follows:
- Development of solutions to facilitate the implementation of SODEPA’s IT Master Plan;
- Infrastructure support for SODEPA and its partners in implementing technological and digital solutions;
- facilitating access to the products and services of each stakeholder;
- supporting the professional integration of young people, via existing programmes and platforms.
After the speeches made by the General Manager of SODEPA and the Representative of the Director of MTN Cameroon, it was followed by a break to have a taste of matured meat from the company’s cold store and then the distribution of SODEPA goodies.
This historic day ended with the official signing of the memorandum of understanding, immortalized by souvenir photos and an exciting visit to one of MTN Cameroon’s many data centers. SODEPA and MTN Cameroon can now proudly move forward hand in hand for the digital transformation of the company and its partners. This innovative collaboration will undoubtedly set a benchmark in the history of our country.
